Only three bookmakers are laying odds on Bloomberg winning in 2008. They are all over the map at 40-1, 25-1, and 18-1.

I think he might be a longshot in the world outside New York, but then I never thought an obnoxious ethnic-looking Italian from NYC could get this far with the Republicans nationally, so obviously, anything could happen.
